Hello! Thanks for having a look around. Maryke here – looking forward to sharing with you, my love of cooking incredible plant-based food! All recipes on the site are egg free, dairy free and plant based (unless otherwise stated). Many of them are also gluten free. Any of the recipes with flour can be made gluten free by substituting with gluten free products.
My focus is on making vegan food delicious and accessible to the every day person for increased energy and improved health. My sister, Nadia, has inspired me for many years with her example. She has been vegan forever and is also an incredible artist and singer songwriter – her site is Here
I am in the kitchen every day cooking for my family. It’s my favourite place to be and I love to experiment. Food is fuel and also I believe a wonderful way to bring people together. I started cooking when I left home (out of necessity) and have grown into it over the years. I think the best thing to do is just experiment and try the things you think you would like to eat. There are so many resources out there to help you and hopefully this becomes a valuable resource too. Why Vegan? This is a bigger question that is answered on the Q&A page that. In a nutshell, for increased energy, health, the planet, the environment, the animals and as a personal choice to make an impact in the biggest way I can on all of those issues. Since starting this site in December 2015, my recipes have been featured on Finding Vegan, Foodgawker, The Flaming Vegan and One Green Planet.
